THE FLIGHT OF THE BELLBIRD
We’ve taken flight!
Named after the native New Zealand Bellbird, Bellbird Eatery has taken flight at the Dowse Art Museum in Lower Hutt.
Our aim is to create a memorable dining experience in a space where everyone feels at home. Warm, genuine hospitality sits at the heart of everything we do: thoughtful service, a relaxed atmosphere and a sense of belonging from the moment you arrive.
At the core of our kitchen is a deep respect for New Zealand’s exceptional produce and the local growers and suppliers who make it possible. This philosophy extends beyond the plate to our drinks and wine lists, which are proudly centred around New Zealand producers. Wherever possible, we champion local across everything we offer.
Our menus are guided by the seasons thoughtful, expressive, and full of character celebrating the very best of Aotearoa with subtle, vibrant influences from the Indian subcontinent.
As an all-day eatery, we place a strong emphasis on breakfast and lunch, alongside dinner service on Friday and Saturday evenings.
We hope you enjoy your time with us.
